Establishes in statistical terms the likelihood of two or more tested children’s relationship to each other.
Reveals the closeness or distance of common genes, thus showing whether tested individuals of any group of children are full siblings, half siblings (e.g., same mother but different father, etc.), or no relationship to each other (e.g., no common parent) at all.
You will receive two buccal swabs for each participant (one swab for each cheek inside of the mouth).
The basic Full Sibling Study Exam kit includes sets of two buccal swabs for the mother and two children; however, a sample from the mother IS NOT necessary.
