If the alleged father’s participation in a paternity study is unavailable for whatever reason,
this is the test to use.
This test yields a 97% conclusion rate, and is more conclusive on average than a standard
sibling study.
Accordingly, a sample must be submitted from both paternal grandparents. If only the
paternal grandfather is available for the test for a male child, please consider the Y-PLEX
exam instead.
The results from this test are usually reported within 7 business days.
